JNV Calicut was established in the year 1987-88. It is located on the hill top of Maniyoor Village, 12 kms away from Vatakara in the district of Calicut, Kerala. The Vidyalaya has got about 520 students studying from class VI to XII Std. with Humanities and Science Stream at Higher Secondary level. JNV Calicut is fully residential institution run by NavodayaVidyalayaSamiti, New Delhi under MHRD. It is affiliated to CBSE New Delhi. The Vidyalaya has got separate hostels for boys and girls. Free food is being provided to all students.
